The Malaysian National Primary Syllabus (KBSR) is a 6-year programme. Children who have completed the Lodge School Kindergarten may be admitted into Year 1 of the KBSR programme.
The KBSR programme is the main stream of the school. This programme has Bahasa Malaysia as the medium of instruction for all subjects except English. The other subjects in the KBSR programme besides Bahasa Malaysia are Mathematics, Science, Moral Education, Art, Living skills, Music, PE, Local Studies and extra curricular activities. Children are given every opportunity to learn the language skills and to communicate in Bahasa Malaysia. They are given individual attention in class and their progress is closely monitored. The school emphasizes the importance of the English language and this is covered in the special English Language Enrichment Programme.
Additional Co-curricular programmes on computer science, mathematics club and science club are compulsory for students from year 4 upwards. Students will sit for the Ujian Penilaian Sekolah Rendah (UPSR) - (Primary 6 evaluation) at Primary 6.
